Beach pics….watch out!

Wow. Okay. Crazy times at the beach. If you haven’t been catching snippets of the action on my status updates on Facebook or on my Twitter feed, then here’s the best summary: I’ve barely gotten any sleep because of my kids – but I’m not going to work, so that’s okay! Lol. Yeh, being in a strange place is making my boys wake up even earlier than they usually do. But they’re starting to sleep longer and longer. But Keaton still pops out of his bedroom and flies up the hallway calling “Daaaadddddyyyyy!” whenever he wakes up. Ah well. 5:15 am was rough Tuesday morning, but it felt generous compared with the 4:20 am wakeup call Benjamin gave us on Wednesday morning. Today was 5:30, so that wasn’t so bad. We might actually make it to 6am tomorrow morning – but I’m not holding my breath.

Alrighty, here’s what everyone was really wanting – pictures! Actually, I know you really desire my witty comments that ornament them, so I have obliged:

Here we have Keaton’s first time out at the beach. It was evening, so he was a little tired. But I think he was more overwhelmed at first, because after he got used to it he perked up quite a bit…

He looks so sweet!

Okay, after he realized that the beach could be fun, he started having fun. Which primarily involved seashells flying through the air this first evening. That little splotch to the left of his upraised hand is a seashell – flying high!

Ain't I purdy...

Benjamin didn’t quite know what to make of things, and, as usual, his expressions were quite priceless.

Yeh, Keaton was really enjoying himself. This is actually the third time he made it out to the beach. The second time was with my folks…so we didn’t take pics (and I’m not sure if they did…). But yeh, notice how “serious” his expression is…

Movin' fast - catch me if you can!!!

Such a serious lad. We gave him a hat to try and liven things up. Not quite sure if that worked…but at least he has something to keep the sun out of his eyes now…

With the hat he is the embodiment of cool.

I won’t say exactly who pointed out the remains of a shovel to Keaton. But He definitely found great pleasure in at least one specific part. This is absolutely the wisest toy one could hand over to a two-year-old.

Benjamin has been enjoying his time at the beach as well, but mainly as he’s been held in someone’s arms. Which is quite rough on the holder – the little linebacker weighs almost 25 lbs! But Papa was up to the task!

Keaton also had fun with his cousins. He absolutely loves Karis and is always asking about her. Here, he’s showing off his most awesome toy.

Here’s a close-up of Keaton’s hat. For some reason he fixated on Uncle Mark’s hat one of the first nights we were here. So Terra and I found him one his size when we went out shopping the next night. Now he has to have it in bed with him when he goes to sleep. Lol. Such a nutty kid. But it’s a robot hat – I don’t blame him for liking it so much!

Not that we need another picture of Keaton with his little bo staff, but as I looked at this one, I realized his stance was about perfect for a golf swing. Just what we need, a little red-headed golfer on the loose!

I’m sure I’ll have more pics to post tomorrow night. I haven’t even downloaded the ones from today… You can always check out my wife’s blog for more…
